Be transported to la belle époque with a lush program of mélodies by Francis Poulenc, Gabriel Fauré, Henri Duparc, Reynaldo Hahn, Edith Piaf and César Franck’s beloved violin sonata.
New-to-the-Series, world-class mezzo soprano Emily Fons will give a marvelous chanson recital in this lavish, all-French soirée.
César Franck’s violin sonata is a pillar of the violin repertoire and will be performed by Ambroise Aubrun, hailed as a “marvelous violinist” by France Musique. The program will end with Edith Piaf’s deeply romantic, soul-stirring “La Vie en Rose.”
