Hear the work of Pēteris Vasks, whose Bass Trip is a thick, conflicted solo bass piece with profound interiority. Solo bass pieces are uncommon, and we are thrilled to welcome Sam Suggs, the first double bassist in a generation to join the Concert Artists Guild roster.
These composers of Latvian, Russian, and Nordic heritage share artistic and geographical landscapes with the otherworldly quality of experiencing daylight at a time when the night normally reigns.
